I know the Raptor has independent F&R lockers. Do either require 4WD to be engaged? I'd guess F, obviously yes, but it would be cool if R could be engaged in 2WD.

On a related note are their speed, neutral or other requirements for any modes, lockers and sway bar disconnect/reconnect?

Thanks!

Not sure on the Raptor, but on the badlands you can engage rear locker in 2wd.

Hell, it's an option on some 2wd trucks!

On the regular Broncos, I think the lockers cut out over 25MPH.
I forget the speed at which the sta-bar reconnects, 25mph also????

Maybe Raptors are different, haven't a clue.

@swamp2 You seem to want someone to tell you how your vehicle functions. For that I refer you to the Owner’s Manual. If that is TLDR then go directly to page 17 of 30 in the Bronco Quick Reference.

Yeah not quite... There is no option to choose ones future Bronco model. I'm impatiently awaiting an allocation. Never even driven one.

It seemed like both a reasonable and interesting question that I'd not seen discussed in print/video reviews nor here in the forum.

The table in the link was very helpful and I'll repost it here. Thanks.

I was pleasantly surprised and encouraged that rear locker is available at all speeds in so many modes. Any idea what happens when locker is engaged below 25 mph and then 25 mph is exceeded? I'd guess it turns off. Heck maybe it turns back on when getting back below 25 mph?

I did not see my other questions adressed in that document. Is neutral or certain speeds required for shifting among the GOAT modes or among 4H and 4L?

I have a BRaptor, yes you can engage the rear locker in 2wd. I haven't tested it but I think it dis-engages at 25MPH.

Thanks, N is required before 4L, but not out of 4L, correct.

FFS Ford, let me control my own vehicle. How am I supposed to remember the only mode 2H RELD above 25mph is Baja? Are we supposed to test all modes and 4wd combinations weekly to learn them and remember them?

I hear ya. With options and features, inevitably comes complexity...

The GOAT modes are supposed to get 90% of the people 90% of the way to the best settings for a given terrain. Lucky for us those options can be overridden/customized even further.

N is required going both in and out of 4L
Thanks bud. I figured this to be the case but couldn't get someone to fully confirm.
