I know it was lightly discussed a while ago but does ford offer any type of "lojack" . Other than LOJACK or having my dog sleep in the car does anyone suggest a theft tracker? I don't want to pay an arm and a leg but I've also waited a long time for this thing, Since these things are going to be hard to get I want to make sure one of you don't steel my Baby when it arrives.

These new vehicles send vehicle status updates back to ford already, and allows many remote functions (unlock, start, theft detection). There may be a built in locator function, checkout the myford pass app information.

If you have the FordPass App activated the Bronco has a GPS tracker built in. So likely the person won't get very far

would be nice if you could brick it remotely, 'deactivate stolen Bronco' and it throws on the hazard lights and slows down until it stops or warns the thief to pull over, car will stop running in 30 seconds or something like that. Probably too much liability involved. But it would be fun. Then lock the doors permanently and turn on the heater until the cops can show up :-D

Just guessing on this, but I'll bet a "smart thief" will know how to disable the FordPass GPS system on the Bronco. I don't have any experience with LoJack, but I decided to give it a try - hopefully it's a waste of money and never gets tested...

Petty criminals that break into vehicles lack the brain cells for shit like that. I would bet for the most part you'd be fine. Unless of course you transport things of a certain nature.

Yes, sadly in Ore-gone we need the club and additional security system. Our state iz no longer safe to be carefree in... too many drug addict criminals.

Our dealer included LoJack for the length of the extended warranty. It seems pretty handy. You can setup GeoFences and alerts. You’ll get pinged if it leaves the selected area. I guess it has some maintenance features as well.
