Long Term Dirt M Broncos Stationed Outdoors Potential Component Issues ?

One of my coworkers purchased a new Bronco Sport that was at the Ford predestination outdoors facility awhile before it was shipped to the dealer. When she picked it up right after the prep she drove it and the AC compressor was out. Locked up. The dealer explained likely due to it sitting outside for a long period of time caused the compressor to freeze up. The good news it's repairable the bad news she is now driving a dealer car until the back order compressor comes in. Any new Big Bronco owners experience a component failure? Other than the roof issues?

I call bull$hit. Vehicles sit on lots for months all the time. Paved or not has zero bearing on a part failing. More likely a bad compressor from the start.

Yep, I'll join the BS brigade.
I worked at a dealer years ago.
During NORMAL years, cars will often sit for a few (2 or 3) months before they sell.

The battery would be my only concern if the bronco wasn’t started for months.

Cars can’t be outside. It’s a proven fact. Only option is to scrap it. Just like all of dirt mountain.

I thought dirt mountain was a failed effort to bury MIC tops 1.0.... so many bad tops they ended up with a giant mound... Ford gave up and just abandoned the rest of the Broncos.

My wife's F-150 sat on the lot for 7-8 months. The battery was weak, but 8 months in the AZ sun will do that.

Yeah, probably bad compressor...But you never want to let a car sit too long...definitely battery issues and ofcourse rats can cause all kinds of headaches
