How much "tire poke" is there - without fender flares?
Looks like as-is, you are only slightly inboard of the leading edge of the fender flares

If you :
1) Pulled off the fender flares
2) took a long metal straight edge,
3) laid it on the tire bulges: top and bottom
4) let the metal edge continue up the side of the body

Q: How much do you think the side wall (bulge) sticks out from the body (no flares)

Im trying to understand how to get the tires under the body with no flares - flare delete.
I dont think it will be possible with stock steeleis.
stock steelies are already +55 offset. Which is about max avaliable on the market.

Sadly, so get steelies, with a larger offset : 70, or even 80...
I think I would likely need to have some custom fabricated....

A better angle to see the poke. Sorry I don’t have one straight on.

I agree that it’s tempting to remove fender flares. But I haven’t seen many 6Gs that look good that way.

I would also add, if you don’t have your bronco yet, don’t make too many purchases/plans before you get it. For instance, I thought I’d want a leveling kit to eliminate the rake. Now that I have the bronco, I never notice the rake and think it looks great.

This is where I ended also : Falken Wildpeak M/T 255/85r16
After tons and tons of comparing, this is the tallest and skinniest I could find. ANything taller starts creeping above 10" wide.
Super nice of you to share how these look. I should get my Bronco next month and becasue I see they look great on yours, I will add to mine.

This is a Base non-Sas right?

What lift do you have?
I was going to do the Bilstein 5200 lift at 2".

Any side view pics?

Thanks !! - really good point, yes, I have been holding myself back from the Bilstein 5200's.
Now I am glad after seeing yours. Stock helight with these tires seems to look great.
If you ever get around to a dead-on side view I would appreciate it.

Looks like the side wall is falling about in the center of the flare. SO maybe 1.5" out from the body itself... I think the flares are 2.5" wide...

How do the Falken Wildpeak M/T 255/85r16 Perform:
- Daily on road
- Wet rainy conditions
- Snow

thanks!
They seem fine all around. Some noise, of course. There are reviews of the tire online.

I haven’t driven in enough rain or any snow to tell you about those things.

Very interested in this thread as I look to future ownership. Two thoughts.

If you get too narrow of a track, stability becomes and issue. Ran in to this on my '70. It may not be applicable here, but some food for thought.

Secondly, I run the Falken Rubitreks on my wife's GX460. They ride and wear great.

yes I guess the Black Diamond steelies are 17"....

You made a 10.5" wide tire look skinny!! Must be due in part to the slight lift (Sas)
