Lost Trail in Idaho - ride along video. It does get tippy.

Okay the first obstacle... I actually got up on two wheels... ON THE SAME SIDE OF THE TRUCK!!! so if you want to know how far you can get off camber before rolling... I think I found it....

Now I bought this camera the night before and well... It kept falling off my temporary mount so I got really good shots of the ceiling of my truck over the spiciest obstacles... But I am keeping those shots to myself.

It is a little different perspective than most of the other videos I have seen. It is just a ride along.

I lost that thing second day of drivers training when I was 14... Never known what it was like to drive with depth perception... I pick up on depth by other means... I even worked as a surveyor for a while so I am half way decent at judging distances.

I think that beard is distracting you and interfering with your depth perception.

So how much do those 360* cameras help when wheeling without a spotter? Seems like potentially a bunch.

This is in the Owyhee's just on the south side of the snake in South West Idaho. closest town is Melba... Next to Walter's ferry. I think there were a couple people on 35s and one on 33s... but they took the bypasses and made it fine on Lost. There were 4 of us that then hit Double Headed Dragon and the smallest tire size was 37s.... That was a struggle on DHD. I am personally on 40s but I also have portals for clearance and I still trail marked my skids.

My camera battery died before we got to DHD... and that was the best stuff by far.

Oh... Ashley's green door handles... She has a number of accents in that color. It is her thing. Probably looks better in person. girl wheels hard though.

So how much do those 360* cameras help when wheeling without a spotter? Seems like potentially a bunch.
Awesome to see you out putting those mods to the test!

I’ve found them to be fantastic as long as you pick your line as you approach the obstacle, then use the cameras to follow the line once you lose sight of everything from the hood. There’s no real depth perception with the camera so relying solely on them might not work out so well. Kinda hard to get a gauge on how big/small objects are, if that makes sense.
