Rock rails covers it completely.
This is one reason I'm ordering the Rock Rails from flip, backordered though :( The rails are spaced a bit from the body (to allow flushing out mud?), but cover the pinch in profile, becomes a little visible when close but not as much as with the steps.

No it doesn’t. They took that into consideration. I’ve installed it.
I've wondered about the water, mud, salt sitting in there. What did they do that helps this bc I like the look and idea.

This covers pinch weld and protects the rocker panel. Dresses up the unfinished look of the pinch weld.

Pics below are accessories catalog pic and actual install on my 2 door WT.

In the below pic, you can see the pinch weld exposed before adding the rocker panel trail armor. As you can see, you can have tube steps too.

Are you worried about moisture, mud, etc getting trapped and promoting rust? If not, why not?

Ford's providing the disease and the cure...
I’ll likely look into something like this eventually but sold from a third party. I really detest the principle of Ford selling me a solution to a problem they created. It just feels like rewarding them for a job poorly done.
I don't get what the big deal is with the pinch weld - not a disease and not poorly done, just the way most vehicles are built and is just more obvious because the Bronco sits higher.

Doesn't look any different than most 4wd vehicles.

If they did put the rocker guard on it from the factory people would be complaining and saying how stupid Ford was for putting them on there.

It traps water and salt against the pinch weld and rots your cab faster.

How did you install the trail armor?

Do you need to remove the side step tube first before installing the trail armor?

Side note.

I ordered the Zroadz steps because they don't sit as low as the factory steps and cover the pinch weld unlike the factory ones.
I am going to install the factory rock sliders - they are rated for 1.5 vehicle weight. I live in CO and while not an off road nut job 😀 in all likelihood they will get used - I think there are slider designs that double as steps as well. Best of luck with your purchase!

Yeah I don't plan on ever needing to use them as sliders but zroadz does say they are beefy and can take some hits. I need a step more than a slider for the wife and chillins.

You can always repaint a quarter panel - kids and a wife in my experience don’t stand for that sort of thing …

Google “Imogene Pass” or “White Rim Road” videos … these are some trails I am looking forward to trying.

I have a pair that I wont be using if anyone is interested. I'd be willing to part with them for a fair price.... Shipping cost probably gonna suck tho.
Did you sell these yet? 2dr or 4dr?
