Install the base here, one on the left and one on the right, with double-sided tape on the back of the base

Align the grooves at both ends of the main rod with the original car screws

there are springs at both ends, shrink the springs when installing, and after the original car screws are inserted into the grooves at both ends, the springs at both ends are stretched outward to complete the fixation.

Is the cover locked in place when the tailgate is closed and locked? Or could you release the cover without opening the tailgate?

@Mabett ,maybe adding some kind of "lock" to the tailgate would be helpful?

Sold, when a 2 door cargo cover is developed. It needs to be some what secure when the tailgate is closed. If you can do that then I'm totally in. I think most people want to be able to go to the beach with no top and feel relatively secure. But keep up the good work, U Rock !!!
