I also have the GPCA cover, and my issue is that it doesn't go all the way to the tailgate, there is about a 2-3 inch gap. Is that how yours fits?

Nope. Have both. Works seamlessly.

Turns out the Mabett version of the cargo cover mounts nicely with the 4DR molle panels from BuiltRight Industries. Offers a sense of security for your gear. Retractable cover rememicent of common wagon covers. Easily removable with spring loaded end caps. Adhesive mounted - so, no drilling into your trim. Even without the panels - it’s strong enough to hold some weight on top and you aren’t locked into something more permanent.

Put it to work this weekend too. It’s packed like sardines under with weekend getaway gear for a family of 3 and a dog. I like being able to stash some lighter more delicate items on top. I was even able to include a medium sized dog crate between the cover and the cargo door.

Install the base here, one on the left and one on the right, with double-sided tape on the back of the base

Align the grooves at both ends of the main rod with the original car screws

there are springs at both ends, shrink the springs when installing, and after the original car screws are inserted into the grooves at both ends, the springs at both ends are stretched outward to complete the fixation.

What do you mean? You can keep the back open and still close the tailgate, but you can’t lift the enclosure without opening the tailgate.
