Tip for installation for accessing the 2 phillips head screws on the shifter.
Apply parking brake and move shifter to far back; it gives you some more room to work with.
You can also pop off the shift boot from the center console trim for easier access.

Does it make your phone hot? Does it charge up if you are using car play? I'm looking to hear from someone who had the factory unit they were unhappy with and this improved the situation.

I did not have the factory wireless charger to compare but the Mabett one has worked perfect, Seems to charge fine when using car play and it has never gotten hot

It works guys - mine was a black diamond.

Plate switch was the easiest, the hardest part of the install for me was the screw removal and insertion in the gearbox.
But glad I was able to push through.

Had mine installed for a day or so and it works great. I didn’t have the factory charger so I can’t speak to the differences there. Install took 30 minutes or so but the screws in the shifter are a pain
