Yes I think it would be a good idea to make it removable if possible. That way of you didn’t want lights on it it looks cleaner but you still have the option to add lights down the road. Like I said I think it would look factory if you used something similar as the “bronco” bolts used on the modular bumper.

That looks like the same screw used in multiple places, one being on the roof rack. That dang bolt is MSRP $10.
$6 from the places with discounts so far.
I found a couple listing it at $1.50 but their checkout system (the generic ford checkout it looks like) wouldn't work.
I left one on the roof and lost it. Ended up having to get a replacement from Amazon. M6-1x25mm stainless steel cap head screw.
The OEM# is W721178S450. The stock is actually a little longer than 25mm and shorter than 30mm. But it looks like the threaded portion is 25mm. It worked for my uses with the stock roof rack.

..... I'm not sure what this adds to the convo, but that dang bolt (and my mistake of forgetting it on the roof) still has me salty

Rats. When Ford moved me to a 22, I end up with the 'Capable' bumper, and I put in quotes 'cuz I'm not sure what it's capable of.....any hope to make something for that?

Perhaps come up with a modular design where the light mount bracket can be added to the bar when you want?
