Two questions, as I've been considering buying these for about a month now-

Are the dimensions the same inside the mounting area of the trail sights? I have limb risers that I put on when I go through the woods and the mounts need to fit the same as the OEM trail sights.

Second, and I'm not trying to cause drama- but there are several reviews on amazon saying some of the LED lights are failing already inside the trail sights. Are those just one-off defects or will there be a manufacturing change to address this? I feel like even if these are replaced under warranty it will be a pain to change them out.

Paul: I discovered a small issue with the short harnesses in the kit. Please view the attached photo. This should save a little frustration.

I was looking at Mabett fog lights for the steel modular bumper and wanted to know if anything was coming out that would connect to the 2 small extra plugs that are on the wire harness. Instead of using the fog lamp button I wouldn’t mind the same functionality of the trail sight but with the fog lamps. I.e turning light and drl etc.

Anyone know if 2 of the headlight wire harness will work in tandem? I’ve seen some fog lights that hook into head light with similar wire harness as these and figured I could connect them together so trail sight and fog light have the same functionality

Yes they do, in my latest install video I do just that with a set of Mabett LED fog lights AND their Trail Sight Lights as well.

The connectors do appear to be the same or similar for sure. But I haven’t tried it to find out.

Let me dig out the other set of lights and see if the harnesses fit with each other.

Ok, so I just checked them out.

Unfortunately, you can’t use the harness from one with the other. The 5 LED fog lights that has the headlight harness has a female connector on it. The male is on the fog light.

The 4 LED fog lights with the steel housing, the lights have a female connector on them and the harness has a male connector on that end. Meaning you are trying to connect male to male.

So you’d still have to adapt the harness, cut off a female connector and replace the male connector.

I recently installed the Mabett LED trail sights and was wondering if I can wire the extra harness that goes to the fuse box to an (aftermarket) auxiliary switch instead? I don't think this would be the case, but I don't want to risk sending voltage the wrong way through the harness that connects directly to the headlights. @Mabett

Is it possible to purchase just the harness adapters? I have a set of Strands Qube lights that have white and amber running lights that I would love to connect to the daytime and indictators without butchering the existing wiring to add the feature.
