Just received mine this morning. One thing worth noting is that the nuts are welded onto the rear of the hitch (the side facing towards the front of the vehicle once installed), which will be nice when torquing the bolts.. but also means removal of the rear bumper is mandatory. Not the end of the world of course, but just added steps to the install.

Exactly. It’s not a “trailer hitch” without wiring. And anything bigger than Class 1 is overkill for a bike rack.

"Overkill" in a forum about an ultra capable off road vehicle that will spend 95% of it's time getting groceries and picking the kids from school is an adequate term...

So I can buy this one that requires me to remove the bumper or buy one that looks nearly identical and functions the same from another manufacturer that does not require bumper removal. Hmmmm….let me think about that…

They're mostly identical, but Mabett's hitch does have the 4 pin holder on the left side. Taking the rear bumper off only takes ~5 minutes, so I think it's just down to whether you want that 4 pin holder or not.
