Kudos to Mabett for coming up with all kinds of nifty stuff at reasonable prices. I have ordered, received and installed some, all good. I do have a comment applicable to all transmission skids though. The Trans sits up a few inches higher than the transfer case and engine/axle. So my suggestion would be build a skid that starts above the sway bar, using the sway bar bolts for mounts, continue level toward rear then kick down in front of the crossover pipe, level out and attach to crossmember. Vent to allow air flow to the crossover. I just hate a skid that reduces clearance any more than needed.

I lack expertise in this area, I need to take the time to understand it, if anyone is willing to help, I will be very grateful

Are you talking about these braces? The 2.3L doesn't have them? That's nice because they hang down at least a couple inches more than needed and are poorly constructed for sliding over things. I'm not sure if I'd rather cover them with a skid or show them my sawzall.
