following up - got my Magnaflow overland installed Saturday morning. Not using a lift or any power tools, it took 47 minutes from start to finish (that includes opening the box and pulling the parts out). SUPER easy install. It required a ratchet, a 15mm socket, a pry bar (I used a long flatblade screwdriver that clearly had 'do not use as pry bar' printed on the handle - I like to live on the edge), and some WD-40. The WD-40 is key for making the rubber hangers slide off and back on easily, since you're reusing them with the new system. I put mine in the 3rd loudest configuration and LOVE it. Great job on this, Magnaflow!
Thank you for your kind words and congrats on the new system! Would love to see some pictures and sound clips!!

Set mine up with configuration 2 when it was first installed. It was good, added great oomph. After a few months, I changed it to configuration 4 and noticed a difference. Not huge, but definitely louder. I am happy with it on 4.

I did a better audio recording tonight - this is on configuration 1 (quietest setting). I taped the microphone to the rear bumper for part of the video, and to the passenger seat for part to demonstrate exterior and interior sound. this is the 2.7L V6.

I had a Magnaflow system on my '03 Harley Davidson F150 (MF even used my truck to do the mock-up / pattern work way back then) and loved it. Then I had their exhaust on my 2010 F150 Raptor and it was great!

No reason I won't be puting an Overland system on my Bronco in the new year.

2.3 benefits? its difficult to make a 4 cyl sound much better and the current wind noise is enough as is, so what's the bank for buck quotient ???
Excellent question. I've been wondering the same thing about all the aftermarket exhaust systems and parts.

What's the benefit over stock other than a different sound??

Tight and tucked. About 1/3 the size. Full clearance.

Smaller size often means more back pressure, noise or both. But not always. Maybe Ford saved money with a larger muffler?

I can’t report on that. Perhaps @MagnaFlow can.

Some decibel numbers against the stock muffler would be helpful. I don’t want my truck sounding like a toy, I just want it to quiet down.

Is there specific kits for the 2 door and 4 door or does each kit accommodate both? I have a 2 door 2.3L.

Hello,

Overland Series

#19556 is 2.3L and #19559 is 2.7L

Street Series

#19555 is 2.3L and #19558 is 2.7L

On the bottom of the page under the 'Compatible Vehicles' section, engine types are listed.

We use 409 SS for the exhaust tubing and 430 SS for the mufflers.

Let me know if you have any other questions!
