I mean they told me they were following a TSB I just don't remember which one. I also don't really care, the car was delivered broken and ether it gets fixed or they can buy it back and I go back to avoiding cars built in North America again.
The transmission is not assembled in N/A. It’s a German design made by Getrag.

Toyota, Honda, Subaru, BMW, Kia, Hyundai and others built in N/A so what you going to buy?

Oh cool man, my complaint is based around the quality control at ford where they didn't catch the broken transmission before it was sent to the dealer.

Broken? It’s a rattle that most Getrags do, including BMWs. Still believe it is fluid related to squeak out that extra .01 mpg.

fan boys will defend anything
Fanboy? Hardly. All Getrags seem to rattle no matter the brand vehicle. Don’t like it but it is what it is. Ford is not going to change the supplier so you either live with it or move on.

That is an absolutely horrible mindset to have. also you seemed to have missed where i said ether it gets fixed or bought back. old dude at the dealer already started talking to me about the buy back process

No they don’t. The Getrag in my M2 was not noisy and all my years on Bimmerpost I’ve not heard of people complaining about anything other than rubbery shifting. In fact the 6-speed they make for BMW has been extremely solid. BMW 6MTI550 Getrags are made in Germany while the Ford MT82 and MTI550 transmissions are built in China to different standards.

Googling “Getrag rattle”, “Getrag rattle BMW”, “Getrag rattle GM” reveals the extent going back 15+ years…

Dude BMW hasn't used that transmission for 30 years lol. You know how old the E30 3 series is right? It's as relevant as bringing up the Pinto in a discussion of current Ford reliability.

GR Corolla is the ticket, other than the rear diff overheating. But that 3cyl and 6mt are sweet as silk.

They must've given you the wrong part number.
MU7Z-7124-Q isn't even available to order yet.

I'm guessing they actually ordered MU7Z-7124-K, which shows 6 pieces arriving at the packager on 1/22, and 7 total on backorder currently. Hopefully you aren't the 7th one on backorder or it's probably going to be a while. Very curious why they even need to replace this part to begin with.
hey @Ducati1098
is the new level part available now? My dealer says yes but not sure I believe them lol
