I just read that MAP is closed for two weeks, but also has two weeks downtime in July, weeks of 7/5 and 7/12. Can anyone (MAP ees) confirm?

I thought I read somewhere that they will not have the normal July shutdown because of this, but I could be wrong.

Can’t seem to find the information now.

I think someone posted a few weeks ago that Ford announced they were canceling their two week shutdown in July to keep up with production. Now the 2 week shutdown in May, seems like they will not be getting ahead after all. Essentially their two week break just got moved up ahead of time. Hope they didn’t re-instate the July shutdown

I believe that’s the plan. No telling if they can actually get everything together by then, but hopefully the May shutdowns help. I have heard some firsthand info that the struggles continue.

Document I was looking at is dated 5/10/21, so Monday of this week (shows May and July). Maybe it's wrong, so I was hoping to hear from a MAP employee.

I don't understand.
In some situations, inappropriate laughter may be our brain's way of breaking anxiety and tension — a built-in coping mechanism to diffuse bad vibes or stress. ... Nervous laughter could simply be an involuntary and instantaneous attempt at self-prescribed laugh therapy.

This would seem to conflict with photos I've seen of build dates for those weeks, though I guess it's possible they get rescheduled a third time...

We’re a better community for having your very thorough explanation. Thank you for the work you do.
