Next there will be a tarp and bungee cord shortage at Harbor Freight due to Ford putting them on the topless Broncos lining the local airport runways that are not in use.

I posted a picture in another thread earlier - Webasto is already putting out 70-80 hard tops a day, so that might not be as constrained as suspected. They may be able to crank out more but that's just the demand at MAP right now. The earlier email about hard top production in July being low still makes it sound like they can't ramp up to several hundred a day right now, but only Ford and Webasto really know.

I know they won't, but I'd take my bronco topless, if they ship the tops later at their expense. Would not bother me one bit.

I think they will have to ramp up substantially. 100 a day between now and December is only about 21,000 tops.

Sorry for being ignorant, but I am not following how there can be a commodity shortage that is stopping work but yet workers are swamped. Can someone legit explain?

You can still build cars while there is a shortage. I.E all the completed F-150's waiting for chips in Kentucky.

This is very true, but 100 per day right now is far better than the claims of < 30, and we don't really know what their maximum output is...

They will counter that they gave you 18 months advance notice to get your down payment in order.
