Marine Grade Vinyl + car seats = Ruined?

I don't have this problem anymore, but back when I did, there was a towel between the car seat and my leather seats - more to prevent wear than indentations or sippy spills.

I don't think the vinyl will suffer any worse than leather, and will wear / stain less than cloth. I am betting those indentations you were heatgunning out were more in the padding underneath which will be the same regardless of what covers them.

Thats a good idea. I've just been using a towel.

I line the seat with broken glass - gotta keep the grandkids entertained.

My wife has the grandkids car seat in her car. Getting a 2 door. Problem solved! All kidding aside, saddle blanket has worked fine and collects the other “stuff” as well.
