I was curious about why someone (myself) should pick marine grade vinyl over leather/automotive grade vinyl. Found this video on the topic and thought that it's helpful to understand its properties.
Results from my research on marine grade vinyl :
Pros:
- 500+ hours UV resistance vs 300+ hours UV resistance in automotive vinyl
- Mildew resistance
- Waterproof
- Can be washed
Cons:
- No power (seat) adjustment: if you wash these seats the electronics would probably ruined
- Doesn't last as long as leather
What do you guys think? For people who'd like to keep the top off often this is great.
