What is everyone's thoughts on the Marine Grade Vinyl Seats? Trying to decide if I should do seat covers or not.
I liked them so much when I test drove a bronco, I switched to a badlands from wildtrak

When I bought my first leather interior, my wife was convinced I needed seat covers. I said I would, but didn't for long enough that she bought her own leather expedition. we're fine now with no further talk of it. Also, Las Vegas.

Love the MGV in my Badlands, which Iā€™ve had for a little over a month now. I havenā€™t found them to get all that hot at all. Iā€™ve had the roof off (in PA so not crazy heat) and it wasnā€™t really a problem. I do have a hard top with the headliner and also have tint and they are just warm (not blazing melt your skin off hot) on the hottest of days weā€™ve had over the last month in PA.

Anybody with dogs that have sharp toenails and a penchant for digging on the couch let them loose on the MGV yet? Howā€™s it holding up?
At first I reacted with a laugh emoji.
I didn't see the dog part at first.
Thought you were asking if anyone had sharp toenails and cut their couches up..
Sigh.
Come on Weekend, you are my friend.

Here in AZ, I've had leather seats for years and always have a Turkish towel to throw on the seat during the summer.šŸ‘

When I've had cloth, yes they are cooler, but in this dusty land it is hard to keep them clean. Unless I want to shampoo my seats monthly, cloth will look dingy pretty quick. And that's without going off-road.šŸ˜‡

I have MGV and live in Phoenix. My windows are ceramic tinted and that helps tremendously. The front seats do get hot from the sun coming in through the windshield, but a windshield shade would help with that.

They are hotter than cloth but not as hot as leather, and a little sweaty. šŸ˜

Personally I thought the MGV material was too soft and seemed like it could easily be penetrated. I still would have ordered them though if they were a darker black and not a dark heather gray color.

Unfortunately mine doesn't have heated seats. :( Think I am more worried about the heat and burning my legs :ROFLMAO:
I got MGV with my Bronco. The first time I left the car outside in the sun, got in and burned my leg. I then ordered the covers for the front seats and they are a canvas like material (the Carhartt I think). They are much cooler and the material is thick. I haven't decided when or if I will take off the covers. I'm also looking at the ceramic tint to reduce the heat that comes through the windows. I really do love the look and feel of the MGV but it does get hot.

I'm in Vegas too and have similar concerns. I'd love a set of neoprene seat covers that look like the Nintendo white interior of the Cactus Gray Bronco but I haven't seen anything else I like yet. May have to have something custom made but I'll probably test them out next summer for a bit first, since my rig is at Dirt Mountain instead of here. I'll lean the seat back forward against the steering wheel when it's parked so my ass and legs only cook to medium rare in summer.

Do you have the windshield tinted as well or just the sides and back? I have the windshield tinted in my car and it has helped tremendously in the Florida heat.

The windshield doesn't have any darkness to it like normal tint does.

I love them, they stay cooler than leather, are much softer than expected. Have had my 65Lb Pit/Mutt in there several times and no issues, except he never wants to get out once he is in.
