Noticed a black streak on my windshield the other day (initially thought it was a crack). It turned out to be sticky and the string of it led to the soft top. Upon opening, I notice this black sticky sealant/adhesive (?) Stringing from the gasket to the bottom of the soft top. Not a big issue, just gets on the windshield and paint. Goo Gone takes care of it. Thought of just wiping it all down in goo gone.

Yeah I had one of these too a week or so back and thought it was weird for road tar to be up so high by the windshield. Then a few days ago before we left for the weekend noticed two more “strings” of it dried on the roof rails.

Will be monitoring this.

I've got the same goo with my hardtop. I think I've gotten rid of most of it because I don't notice it making a mess anymore taking the panels off

My MIC 2.0 is doing this too, was just about to make a post to see if this has happened to others.

It's hard to tell in my pics but I was taking the front panels off and noticed it was stringy, thankfully it didn't get on the paint or windshield but still.

I’ve had the same issue in the same spot on my soft top since day one. Just been wiping it off, but today i really tried to remove as much as possible from the top. We’ll see if it comes back. I just hope it doesnt lead to the top separating in that area.

It is becoming a common problem. Ford is aware. No fix yet

Yes, I had the same issue with my soft top about a month ago. It was sitting in the sun on a very warm day. It wiped off pretty easily and I haven't seen this happen again since. Will continue to monitor.....

Happened to mine the first couple times I opened my soft top. I don't open it a ton so I don't notice it often
