Lol, thanks, I've done it a couple hundred times in my time.
A few dozen to broken Jeep tops.
Never to a MIC, but the process should be the same.
As long as you get good mechanical adhesion on everything, it should be trouble-free.
Thanks for responding as a professional. You do nice work. Would love to see a photo when you start painting MIC tops, although I wonder if the paint holds up with the constant install/removal?

The Corvette world calls this the FRC, or Flying Roof Club. Congrats on being the founding Bronco FRC member!

I joined that club in 2005! The body panel peeled off of the frame.

Sorry for the top.

I can’t help but notice your MIC looks super light colored. I thought they were darker, but yours definitely looks closer to the preproduction models, weird.
So hard to tell. That Area-51 Blue changes shades so much depending on lighting.

I joined that club in 2005! lmao
Doh!

Mine's a convertible, so I only suffer from not being able to drive in the rain without getting soaked, or driving it at all, because it's parked due to electrical gremlins. Yay Corvette!

Does losing an aluminum truck cap count? It went about 20 feet up in the air. Floated down and slid to a stop.
It counts! Welcome to the club!

Looks like I need a systems checklist for startup!
Sorry to hear about the mishap. I have a soft top and after a couple of garage door incidents were posted, i made a magnetic "feeler"/reminder that I put up when the top is in the 1/2 down position. A $10 antenna and a $4 magnet. For the latch (hard and soft top issue), maybe a aviation type reminder would work.

Given how these tops seem to be falling apart, they'll all look like that eventually
