My MIC top is actually very quiet. I have no wind noise what's so ever. But my previous vehicle was a wrangler so maybe I am used to a little noise.

Great post OP. To those who think expectations are too high on wind noise, I think that's a bit silly given the $50-65k price point of the vehicle. This isn't rocket science, it's taking panels and seating them to a gasket. It's basic engineering. Either the specs on the parts are inadequate, the tolerances to which they are being made is incorrect, or poor installation at the factory. The Germans would be QA'ing with a trivial pressure test at the factory... Ford though? Nope, we are too good for that.

As a comparison point, I own a '21 Wrangler Unlimited as well, and the hard top on it, is fantastically better made. It's not even a contest. From the finish, to the fit/noise. The only spot the Ford top wins is the black fabric finish on the interior.

Perhaps they will fix this the 7g, who knows.

Your photos show that your missing the C pillar inter molding. Just added a missing one on mine and it made a difference.
First photo, molding is missing, second molding is present, third photo is the part itself and last photo shows part location on the pillar. The part definitely fills a gap, see you photo marked with a yellow line. You can tell the part is missing without even taking the rear top panel off.

Those are for soft top Broncos. Hard top doesn’t get them from the factory.

I mix is pretty quiet overall now that I put the pool noodles along the sides.... It was starting to whistle in side winds... And it sounds like the shell and parts are chunking/shifting a little bit over off camber/angled bumps and coming off curbs and driveways. Anyone have that chunking sound yet? I thought it was just the cold. But it didn't do that shit last winter. Lol I checked all the bolts. They snug.

Mine only has one really noticeable wind leak. Its worse on days with a crosswind. Sounds like its coming from behind the rear passenger where the rear shell meets the bronco. Maybe up towards the top. I have 4 door by the way. Its not horrible, but if i got that fixed it would be pretty quiet. Ill have to try these tips in spring.
I have the exact same area too, I coming up on for an oil change i was going to mention it then and let you know if they find anything

The only time Ive heard this is when there's been ice where the pieces meet. Maybe that your problem?

Anyone else have these with a hard top? This may be my problem as well. Do you have pics what it looks like installed with the top on? This is where my wind noise is coming from. Do you have a part number for these if anyone needs them?

I know Ford will add a bunch of stuff to the Bronco and sell it for over 65K, but that doesn't make the engineering or the assembly line any better than what they did for the cheapest version of the Bronco. Expecting the experience of a 65k vehicle from a vehicle that has many versions below 40K is expecting too much.

Most of the part is covered by the roof, only the one side shows that fills the gap. First photo is without the part and second is with.

That isn’t how the car industry works. When VW makes a Golf for 20k which they plan on selling for 45k at the GTI trim, they don’t tolerate garbage QA. The lower end models always benefit from the higher end models QA requirements, parts bins and platform which underpins them.

The problem with what Ford is doing, is it makes them very vulnerable to a new Jeep Wrangler model — which will come. It will have a fancy big screen, MobileEye IQ6 (2 generations newer), a gigantic petrol engine + electric options, fancy contemporary yet retro styling and yes….a top which has proper sealing. In fact, I can see Jeep going further and trying to make a too which is extremely well insulated/sealed to set themselves apart.

It just isn’t good business to ignore such a trivial problem. Especially on such a cash cow, with *potentially* rock solid loyal customer base. Why risk giving them reasons to shop around after the honeymoon period ends?
