Wear gloves when you try to remove the middle panel by yourself. One side is like a razor blade. I learned the hard way. Had to get stitches when I was trying to readjust my grip after I pulled it off.
I cut my middle finger, pretty good, on the edge of the front/right MIC panel
The design/engineering of this hardtop continues to impress.

Can it be sanded or something to remove the sharp edges??

It's possible. I'll check that out next time I take it off. It seems like that would be something Webasto would do before delivering to Ford.

I hooked up a winch to my garage ceiling. Cost around $200 with parts on Amazon.

How long are the yellow straps around the hardtop? I would like to do the same.

watch youtube videos of removing the wrangler hardtop, then mimic that set-up.

What I did was found a cheap hoist on amazon, bought a couple 10'x2" lifting straps. Mounted the hoist in the attic.

Its crooked b/c I hit it with my head prior to taking this pic
Same here and it works great.

Is this a four door hardtop? Are the 10 foot straps a good length?

2 inches x 10 feet. I have to try something else to keep it level since it wants to lean towards the glass end a bit. Taking it off isn't bad. But putting it back on needs 2 people to line the tabs up.

Same here. I initially had to add another ratchet strap to reduce the lean, but re-adjust your 10x2 straps and it'll sit level(ish) without the need for a ratchet strap.

yes and 10' straps work; 6' would've been better IMO.
Okay, they sell 6.5 foot straps. I measured the back piece as about 3 feet, so I was worried whether they would be long enough

For this to work well, does the hoist need to be perfectly centered above the rear piece of the hardtop? It seems like the bronco could be pulled in a little different every time and lining everything up perfectly during the install seems tricky.

That's why I'm actually thinking about the roller type, I can remove it in the driveway, or in the garage, and I think it's easier to control replacing it than dropping it from the ceiling hoping that they all lineup. The issue is the roller ones aren't cheap (esp since we need extension arms because of the height)>
