Could the gap be intentional for the roof rack?
The slot for the roof rack can be clearly seen in the third pic. It's further toward the front of the Bronco.

This gap looks warped or just cut wrong. Not sure what our expectations should be for cardboard and plastic, but it looks crappy.

Nah.

If that is an MIC 2.0, I will eat my MIC 1.0.

Go back, take a picture of the front edge of the rear glass section where it meets the side glass section. You have pictures of the side glass section which have always been a nice edge, where as the rear section has had the raw edge.

Here's pics on each of the seams on the 2.0 top at my local dealership.

It was just delivered to the dealership this week. 2dr Wildtrack.

All these questions if it is a 2.0 is why we need the blend date. If it just showed up in the last two days it leans towards having the new top...or it was lost in shipping for a long time....dealers in Michigan.

The fact that the MIC 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 or whatever it would s passed both Webasto and Ford’s QA/QC is pitiful. That too has gap issues, “snake skin”, and imperfections on the edges that are already peeling.

Don't bother.
Highly doubtful this is 2.0 at all. The idea that it could be seems to be based on a dealer assumption and the fact that it was just delivered. No telling how long it was in transit, and it's a dealer mannequin anyway. No reason they couldn't continue to ship the MIC 1.0 on those, especially since they weren't expecting 2.0 to be ready until October originally.

This doesn't match what I know to be the 2.0 top - there is still exposed core on the downward-facing edges on the clamshell and errant overspray of the black sealant used to coat the unfinished edges in the first version.

What makes us think this is the new top?
All this conjecture. Read the above quote from one of only a few here we can actually trust. If he thinks its not a 2.0. I'm going with that.

Im pretty sure this has been spoken to, at length, about the fact that gap exists to accommodate roof rail installation.

Ya'll cynical as fuck, I swear.

Absolutely not. The gap for roof rail is much further on the 2D, it's after where the window start, Here in this picture the gap starts before the window.
That gap is clearly a QC issue. See below.

How about the fact the OP built MIC 1.0 tops at Webasto for Ford? I think he knows what he's talking about.......

WOW Really all the whining and comments about the Mic 2.0 and we haven't even seen one that was shipped and delivered to a real person yet! it all makes me feel better I switched to a soft top because Ford is listening and will stop making them again if they think no one will like them:unsure:
