I have a 2 door with the MIC top, assuming it is a v2 top. Took it out 2x in heavy rain for a leak test, all good. Don't have mud flaos yet so it was a mess. Took it through the local ICS car wash, when we got to the end for the blow dry, tgere was a LOT of air coming in at the joint bwteeen the front 2 panels. No water though. Anyone else?

Air coming in through the roof panel joints is concerning... I'm glad I switched to soft top. When I do use a car wash I only do self-service or automatic touchless, but it's not a perfect solution. Some grime just can't be removed without physical agitation. I use the 2-bucket method (and a 3rd for wheels) at home as much as I can. Never trust those full service tunnel washes with the large spinning brushes, they always cause micro scratches, and that's not even considering the filthy used towel they dry your car off with afterward.

I'm curious how a soft top holds up in a touchless car wash (still waiting on my Bronco).

So the thought is that the strong wind from the blowers flexed the top enough to let air come through?

If that's the case, I mean I'd rather have that than the water but still.. sounds like the tops need to be more rigid.

I hand washed my First Edition 4-door this past week and found a little water that got through where the front panels meet over the windshield. I’m going to wash it again this weekend and pay close attention - if it happens again, I’ll be taking it to the dealership.

No. Don't. Not a thing you should do. Get a specially made brush to clean the top and get proper soft top cleaners and soft window cleaners.

Reporting back after a second hand wash. No leaks! I think I may have had a seal bent the wrong way the last time we attached the MIC panels. Looking good now on a Saturday morning in Texas!
