Also, the screw and bracket are on the top of the B pillar

Don't worry, it's just cosmetic
Whats up with this mess right here?
Top Bolts are only on the 4 door. - From the manual REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE REAR ROOF PANEL - 4-DOORlooking at 2 door hardtop removal videos (here's 2 that I found), neither of them actually mentions removing bolts above the B pillar. So maybe the installation/assembly is fine, it's just a design issue?
Do you have a picture after installing it correctly?Took my hard top off for the first time and discovered that it came from Ford incorrectly installed. The front bracket was mounted on top of the screw rather than through it. Not a big deal, but I'm wondering if this is true for other owners and whether it is contributing to the popping and creaking noises many owners are experiencing.
Iām not sure I follow your comment. But the two-door top has a bracket above the B pillar that the screw goes through (when itās properly installed).Top Bolts are only on the 4 door. - From the manual REMOVING AND INSTALLING THE REAR ROOF PANEL - 4-DOOR
" Remove the two fasteners that secure the rear roof panel at the C-pillar using the provided head driver and ratchet "
Not yet because my top is still off.Do you have a picture after installing it correctly?
I have not personally heard the this, other than on the TFL video. But it stands to reason that this indeed could be the culprit.Took my hard top off for the first time and discovered that it came from Ford incorrectly installed. The front bracket was mounted on top of the screw rather than through it. Not a big deal, but I'm wondering if this is true for other owners and whether it is contributing to the popping and creaking noises many owners are experiencing.

wow, makes me want to remove my top again to see if I have the same issue?Took my hard top off for the first time and discovered that it came from Ford incorrectly installed. I was wondering the same thing. That doesn't look good at all!

In the TFL video referenced in the beginning of the thread, you can see good old Tommy remove the bolts up top.Do you have a picture after installing it correctly?
