I've had the top front panels off a few times now, sliding in and out of the storage bag. Not a huge fan of the bag as there's no protection for the weather stripping/seals.

I noticed on the passenger side panel the leading edge of the seal(closest the windshield) on the edge that runs front to back it's "peeling" back a bit like the adhesive isn't holding it. May be from the bag, or may be from the factory. I have no way to tell.

Anyone know what type of adhesive would be best?

If post a pic.....but it's raining and kinda need the top on 😊

Weatherstrip adhesive?
what glue would be best to reattach the stripping/seal to the roof panel? Looks like there is some blue residue from the factory adhesive-like a spray or liquid glue

Need to properly cure the adhesive to get it to stick

Looking at both the 3M options, black and yellow. Looks like either would do the job.

Thanks for the info everyone!!!!

3M spray adhesive, unless specifically cited for weatherstripping, can sometimes separate in humidity. Even if instructions are followed to spray either or both surfaces and allow a little bit of time for them to become tacky before hand I have had parts stored in warehouses that have separated and personal projects and business projects where the adhesion could not handle humidity even when instructions were followed carefully.

Also with the sprays you have to be at a reasonable distance for it to become a proper mist instead of a thick glob applied which means you need a mask off the areas for overspray and it can be extra work for a small area to do it correctly and still have a possibly fail soon there after

just a warning.

The tape sounds like a good solution And specific to weatherstripping applications

If there is residual OEM adhesive on either or both sides, I would first try to “reactivate” it with a swipe of methyl ethyl ketone (MEK). I’ve had reliable results getting weather stripping on my truck caps to readhere.
Wear gloves when working with this stuff, outside only. Neurotoxicity.

I use 3M Black weatherstripping adhesive for all my weatherstripping stuff. That's what I would use.
If you want something even stronger than that, Liquid Nails. I don't know of anything else that's stronger.

And to think people used to wash their hands with MEK.
