I've read through many threads on this topic and I know there's plenty of information on poke/offset... still thought it would be easier to ask here:

1. I want to add a set of polished Mickey Thompson Classic III's to my Basesquatch.

2. Have to go 17" given the stock SAS wheels are that size and I want to use the stock tires on whatever wheel upgrade I do.

3. Looks like the only option on the Mickey III's for 17", 6x5.5 bolt pattern is a -12 offset... IS THIS TOO MUCH POKE (on SAS fenders)? HOW MUCH POKE IS IT?

4. Alternative wheels include:
- Pro Comp Series 69. Offset is -24... Is this more poke or less?
69 Series Vintage, 16x10 Wheel with 6 on 5.5 Bolt Pattern - Polished - 1069-6183 - Pro Comp (procompusa.com)

- American Racing Baja. These appear to offer both -12 and 0mm offest... Is this (0mm) more or less poke?
BAJA | American Racing

If I want to avoid poke, do that require 0mm offset? Any other retro wheels that offer this offset in the 17". I like the first two, but the holes on the American Racing baja wheels are too small

...thanks,

Thanks, this is helpful...

But now the question is if -12mm offset under SAS fenders is too much poke?

I don't mind the look of too much poke, only concern is the poke would allow for more rocks to be thrown a damage the paint.

If I plan on getting mud flaps anyways... should this be a concern?

Since stock offset on the Sasquatch is +30 and you are asking about -12 the tires will stick out 42 mm (about 1.6 inches) further out.

Just go to willitfit.com which has an excellent wheel calculator including reference planes to compare 2 wheel/tires against each other for how they will fit on the hub.

1.6 inch change from stock, by changing offset you are moving the tire/rim out

Pic stolen from another thread, this is factory sas tires on -8 offset rims with sasquatch flares, the -12 rims will only stick out about 4 mm further (less than 1/4 inch)

0 offset with BFG sas tires is almost flush with sas fender flares. They poke out a teeny tiny bit and it's hardly noticeable. IMHO anything more than that and there will be some actual noticeable poke. I'm not sure if mudflaps would help anything more than a 0 offset, but I know I haven't had a problem with rocks kicking up since I installed my mudflaps with my 0 offset wheels. Hope that helps.

That picture above is very helpful for reference... It is noticeable poke, but really doesn't seem like that MUCH poke.

Curious on Kfonte's comment about mud faps.

Flaps will help deter rocks at 0 offset... but won't be worth it or protect the paint with -12 offset...?

Sorry... one last question...

MT Wheels are 17x9, the stock SAS wheels are 17x8.5...

Will the GY 315/70R17 tires that come stock with the SAS package... fit on 17x9 wheels?

Yes, they fit an 8.0 - 11.00 inch rim.
