Hi,

Been doing some digging on the topic of upgrading to the 12" screen for all the base, big bend, black diamond trim. I stumbled on a site that has an OEM 12" infotainment screen for the 2021-2022 F150 in the link below.

2021-2022 Ford F-150 8" to 12" Sync 4 Touchscreen Upgrade - Infotainment.com

Not saying that particular part number will work for the bronco. If the F-150 is upgradeable, why not the bronco?

Sure, it's 2500 expensive, and the high package is just $1500 upgrade. But I would like to know that it's possible to upgrade in the future.

What do you guys think?

First off, JK. But that's one to try out. Now for the joke: :)

It’s possible, and you don’t need the apim unless you want the built in navigation. Just get the screen and the bezel from your ford dealer. These guys are reputable, but it is highway robbery. They make it sound like they have done something special to make it work, trust me they haven’t. They are doing the same thing with wranglers, they say to use their infotainment.com bezel to go to an 8.4 and they send you a jeep part. Do it on your own, and forscan will be able to enable built in nav in the apim. If you want it. Don’t see who would these days?

You are going to need the whole dash panel as well. The piece that has BRONCO molded into it in large letters. There is no additional bezel they use to fit the smaller screen, it's surrounded by the one large piece of plastic.

I'd buy this shit if it guarantees to get rid of the super dumb split screen....any way to get rid of the factory navigation and replace it with a different feed?

If anyone knew the part numbers for the 12" parts, I'd be the guinea pig, lol

Wildtrak dash: M2DZ7804338BY $573.62
Outerbanks dash: M2DZ7804338BZ $573.62
12" screen: M2DZ10D885A $913.62

Highly recommend creating an account with Repairlinkshop.com if you can; there may be more small parts needed for conversion; see attached. If anyone needs P/Ns for anything, feel free to PM me, and I'll try to get you these P/Ns, but someone with dealership parts access might have better info than mine. When calling the dealer, the "callout" number is what is seen on the attachment, specifying a main component,; whereas the 4-digit prefix is the vehicle, and last letters the specific model or TSB upgrade.

Also noteworthy, I am running as a 2022 since there are more options available, so more parts for what it seems like people are looking for.

Let me grab my laptop; when doing conversions it gets really sketchy comparing parts that are 1 letter or two off, that might require many more parts to work. Don't worry; I was debating this for my (some year) basesquatch. Also 6.7L conversion, but maybe that's a bit much. She might not appreciate me stealing it out of her Tremor

We were going to get the 12 inch screen But the guy at the Ford dealership said that they’ve been having lots of problems with them glitching and shutting off so he didn’t recommend getting it.

We have had our Bronco going on 4 months now and we have not had a single problem with the 12" screen.

I had a theory about that that involves using ForScan to change the VDV to the 8” one. But idk if the resolution would be wonky and have been on vacation so I haven’t been able to try it myself.

While you are talking about upgrading screens, is there a way to get a front camera for the Base? I know, I know, laugh... I'm just asking for a friend. ;)
