The only programming that is needed is for the NAV for the folks that don’t already have NAV. In that instance you would need programming to add all features for NAV.

If you already have NAV it should all operate as normal.

I'm thinking about ordering this. The two options are Sinister Black and Dark Molten Metal, I assume the Black is what most people have and why there's a $500 price difference?

Good question, the difference I see besides the color is that the sinister black include the HVAC vents?

No you move the ones from the original dash pieces. I have the black.

I talked to a rep, they said they just have the one on sale because most people have the black. I'm wondering if I should order the cheaper one and just use a router on my existing bezel.

Might be tough to make the edges look good but I was thinking the same thing or color match painting it. Not sure how Cactus Grey would look on the dash but.....

I've installed all sort of things on my Bronco, but I would be willing to pay some company to do this for me. Just take too much time for me, but would love to have it. I detest this crappy 8" screen, it is terrible. Really glad this came about, maybe one day I will set aside enough time and feel like it.

I'm on the same boat. If they have like a core exchange where we return the 8" screen for credit I'll really consider. But I'll probably pay like 1500 max.

Give it time. I expect this swap along with the ipad swap to be coming down the pipe in the next year or two. It's the early adopter surcharge.

Same reason you're seeing bumper prices slide down.
