Miscut Removable Roof Panel

Here's a new one.

My passenger side removable roof panel was cut with a curve on the leading outside edge.
The rearward edge curves up exposing the insulation which leaks and was how I discovered this anomaly.
Warranty replacement but no ETA on a new part.

Wow that sucks- hopefully you get a new one soon. What are you doing int he meantime to prevent leaks?

I took the panels off in mine once and sliced my finger pretty deep. I did not need stitches but it still bled and needed a band aid for a few days. So mine has sharp edges that probably need to be sanded/filed. I'll wear gloves next time I remove them and file those edges down.

that sucks. Did it cause any water damage that they need to warranty as well?

Not yet. Haven't driven in rain or snow. Just washed the top that the dealer missed in prep. I poured water that flowed over the door. Some went inside.

Update: Took it in yesterday after waiting a month for an appt time. Service tech took one look and agreed it needed to be replaced. Warranty covered it. New panel should arrive next week. Hoping the color matches well.
