New to the world of off road tires and different ratings. Bought my 22 BB four door in July, previous owner had put Falken AT3/W tires on it, 285/7017. The dealer I bought it from had replaced the front tires due to uneven wear from an alignment issue. I just noticed that the front and rear tires are the same size, but different ratings.
Front Tires
LT285/70R17 116/1130 Load range C
Ford Bronco Mismatched tire rating IMG_2668

Rear Tires and Spare:
P285/70R17 117T Standard Load
Ford Bronco Mismatched tire rating IMG_2667

Is this an issue? I wasn’t up to speed on the different load ratings etc when o bought it and missed the difference.
If it is an issue, which ones should I match?

I would probably just make sure to keep the matching pairs on the same axle. (Front or rear). But it would be curious to measure circumference of each with a flexible tape measure or use a string. They do need to have the same roll-out especially if you use 4A on the highway.

I went to Falkens' website and discovered that while they are the same OD 32.8 the P tires are 50 # each the LTs 60#, so definitely keep them on the same axle, which messes up your rotation options. Oddly the P tire has a higher load carrying rating than the Lt. I might see if there was a way to swap out for the ones you prefer. I'm a big fan of LT tires for puncture resistance and sidewall strength.

I detest P rated tires. They puncture super easily.

C rating is a nice compromise between a P rating and an E rating, but they are awful hard to find.

As soon as the P rated minivan tires Ford shipped my Bronco with wear down a bit, I'll be buying something with a C rating.

Seems odd that the Cs are on the front though, I'd fully expect a dealer to put on the cheapest tire he could find, which would be the Ps.

I have a suspicion that the original dealer put on a wheel, tire and running board kit which would make sense on the cheaper p rated tires
