Moab Bronco Safari 2023 Scheduled For May 2-6

The info below is enough for me to feel comfortable spending $165 to be a part of it all, especially the opportunity to chill with tons of other Bronco owners. But I'd still like to understand the itinerary a little more. I'm also still debating if I want to use four vacation days for it. If I knew the schedule, maybe I'd only attend some of the days...

I'm taking the entire week off, but plan on just winging it when I get there.
I'm hoping to do some activities with my kiddos that aren't Bronco related, in the hopes that everyone else will be busy doing other things, like maybe some Jet Boat Tours or something.
I'm sure there will constantly be activities or things to go do though!

So depending on how early the 5/1 group wants to get started, I was considering spending the night of 4/30 in SLC, then it's 4ish hours to Moab in the morning. Does that sound reasonable @TheKim?

Yeah, you could make it to Moab from SLC in 4 hours.
I was hoping to get to my hotel and unload all my stuff before hitting any trails, so yeah, if y'all are good hitting an afternoon trail on 5/1, I'd be good with that, but if it's before check-in, I may not make it.
Looks like Shafer is only 3-4 hours with travel to and from the trailhead.

Hoping to do Dome Plateau again. Had a ton of fun on that trail with the Bronco Off-Roadeo group, and what an amazing view where they had lunch.

I'm mounting a whip light and then getting enough LED's to use up my Aux Switches. I'll either poach some trails at night or host a dance party around the campfire.

I have a feeling that the Safari groups will probably run it as well, plus the Off-Roadeo groups.


I put it on Sheet 2 for May the 4th (be with us).

I agree. I will as well.
I was told when there are big events such as this, the trails and blocked off for people who have paid for the event.

I've never seen that. I was in Moab during the Bronco Safari two years ago and say plenty of Broncos but no trails blocked off. I don't see how it could even be done. We should be fine, especially if we keep track of the Safari schedule. It can work out perfectly with little to no planning ahead of time, as long as we have good communication while there. But, planning is always good, as long as we can adjust if needed.

Ok got my accommodations confirmed and we're rolling into Moab late afternoon on 4/30 so definitely up for a trail run on 5/1 with you all.
