That gives me less than a year to collect Bronco stuff to sell to @Bmadda
I guess I’ll see what I can do…..
I already have my reservation for our hotel.

I will be coming back. My experience was that trails with eight Broncos were a joy and trails with twenty five Broncos were a chore and sixteen is about as many as I find fun. At some point this Safari will get too crowded to be fun but I intend to keep going until that time comes!

This. When @66GT and I splintered off from the rest of the Safari group and joined 3 EBs it was the most fun we had on the trip. The pace is so much better with a small group.

I keep it on the boost screen. Over 3-4 psi, downshift. Seem to be working well but I rarely get into 6th that way.
I never use 6th. I cruise at 2700rpm. Just did a 3600 mile roundtrip to Idaho and averaged over 18mpg and usually had it sitting at 78mph. My goal is no boost for best mpg.

Tricky speaks the truth.

Large groups.. especially with huge differences in wheeling experience and skills.. can't match the "just drive and enjoy it" experience of a small group with capable drivers.

This is key too. Or at least have a few loose screws to make up for skill like I do.

I thought it was more like 2 trips to Moab in a 2dr is better than one in a 4dr. 🤔
Then send me those 37s, bro. 😉
Ahh you forget, 2 Broncos! Trickle down economics...Bronco style!

They did cap the sign up to 300 participants, but what I think happened was we all had a short list of "classics" that we wanted to do in a certain order (Hell's, TOTW, Fins, Poison spider etc). Next year, now that we have banged out most of the classics, we will probably spread out better. I am already regretting the trails I missed, and kinda glad I didn't make Fins and did 7mile instead...there's just SO MUCH out there!

I realized pretty quickly that I didn't love the train of 25-30 Broncos pushing their personal and vehicle limits, sometimes solely due to peer pressure. I peeled off fairly quickly and did some trails on my own, however, it was still great to meet people at the events.

Someone in the thread asked about boondocking in Moab and after spending one horrible night at Base Camp (Old Spanish Trail Arena) I found alternative places to pitch my roof-top tent. There was a ton of locations out toward Dead Horse Point, however, they were all susceptible to the strong winds. I found a great spot on a canyon edge, however, it was super windy so I abandoned it. I spent my last night off Willow Springs Road, on the North side of Moab, which was pretty awesome as it was also the back door into Arches National Park. Willow Springs Road is super easy, but a beautiful trail and was pretty much completely deserted from others.

Onion Creek was a beautiful, scenic drive with 27 water crossings:

Lastly, congrats to Michael for winning the Traction Board Brackets and Attic Tray. Not sure if you're on B6G, but I'm so glad to see you were already interested in them when you won!

Onion Creek was one of my favorites, real nice camping spot towards the end if you turn of towards rose garden.
