Met up at our HQ at the River Canyon Lodge at 8:30 and rolled out together.
Before the start, we all took a moment to remember @NORCALGXP daughter of 28 years who had just passed away 6 weeks before. It was a special moment. Your friends are here to help in the healing process as needed my friend

What a great cool down trip. Beautiful views throughout. This is just a 2wd scenic drive and is just what was needed after running hard all week.
@J-Willz wife Belinda was much happier with the slower less stressful day thank the previous day on Flat Iron Mesa. Talk about being thrown in the fire. Thanks for sticking with us
Plenty of pictures were taken to document this great trip. We counted a total of 29 creek crossings along the way. Unfortunately, again we saw tracks going off trail up the stream in a few places. People are just determined to ruin it for everyone else
.
The original plan was to go out Hideout Rt Gateway 2– Castleton Route 2 making a big loop, but decided to cut it short and just head back the way we came. It would have just been a long day and a couple of us really needed the break in an anticipation for Friday's main event
At the end there was some little kid hot dogging on a 4 wheeler and came right out in front of me from a parking area. Thank goodness I was going slow like usual
. We all decided to stop by the OffRodeo store and look around.
Then we said our goodbyes as we were going to split the group as Friday would not be an easy one.
Not a lot to report other than good people enjoying a good time together. It was a great day to recharge for the next day adventure
