Modular Bumper License Plate Mount

Sorry if somebody has already answered this. I tried looking around for the answer and couldn't find a definitive yes or no.
I am hopefully receiving my bronco sometime soon and went with the Modular Bumper upgrade. Does the dealer have to drill into the bumper in order to mount the front license plate bracket? There are so many different screws on the modular bumper I was hoping Ford would make one that can utilize some of the holes.
It sounds like the standard bumper may require drilling, but I was unsure about the modular bumper.

The factory bracket drills into the painted trim piece between the grille and the bumper.

If you don’t want that, ask them not to install it. There are plenty of aftermarket license plate brackets that mount to the bumper itself, and many of them are no-drill. Even some of the forum members are selling their own brackets (such as @HBTFD).

I ordered and installed the REPRO. Uses existing modular bumper holes. Just need to be careful backing out the torque nuts as I stripped one and ended up cutting it out then putting a clip nut to replace it.

Lots of shackle mounts out there. And they fit any vehicle so they are pretty cheap. I think the plate looks better off-centered.

Anything is better than the stock location.

On the bumper that comes with the Base model, at least, there are two available positions to mount the factory license plate bracket.

You can stick it up high by drilling into the paint at the bottom of the grill, or you can mount it lower down by drilling into the bumper. I don't like the look of the high mount and am perfectly happy with the low mount position. I was debating leaving the front plate off, but I paid good money for a personalized plate, so I want to show it off front and rear.

This ^^^^^^^^^^^ I got mine from a member that decided not to install it, but it is a nice no drill piece that does the job.

Went with a bracket from Greenlane Offroad, really like it! Definitely ask the dealer not to install during PDI if you want to avoid holes on your grill.

I Wonder if I can do this to the outer banks (the low mount) does the plate in the pocket of the bumper do anything?

It does on some models, but apparently not on the Base model.

I'm a fan of the Builtright mount. It uses mounting points on the factory bumper and it's adjustable. I have mine installed a little higher than how they have it in the picture on their site: https://builtrightind.com/products/license-plate-mount-ford-bronco-2021-w-steel-bumper
