Thinking about the winch mount and how I am not a fan as to me it sticks way to far forward. Looking at the bumper, thinking a spacer to move the bumper forward 2in might make enough room that one could bolt a plate to the center to mount a winch. Even if the plate and fairlead extended past I dont think it would be the diving board extension of the factory plate. If it effects the approach angle too much you can just remove the front corners so that is an easy fix. Heck I doubt it clears enough room but maybe enough to mount the winch in the bumper center/cut out area depending how deep that area is.

I think you might run into intercooler issues.

I think you are right on the mounting in the bumper but I think a plate on top of the bumper might work better than the extension plate from Ford.
