Here's an idea of how Bronco may look alongside Wrangler.

That seems crazy big for a locking mechanism. Not going to argue with ya, you are the Jeep owner who has that same thing. It is the locking mechanism for the tailgate. Wranglers have the same thing.
Dang! I just now find out that this may be the first vehicle I've had without a locking fuel door in several decades. Not sure I like the idea of the fuel door not locking. I want my fuel system secured.
I actually think this one is a bit bigger than the one in my Jeep, but that's definitely what it is. Probably just because I have a different type of handle on my JKU.That seems crazy big for a locking mechanism. Not going to argue with ya, you are the Jeep owner who has that same thing.
I initially thought it might be the subwoofer housing. I wonder where they are hiding that? Rear side panels maybe....? Sorry, off topic.
Thanks for the screen grab. There was so much to look at, I didn't notice it. Thanks for the great vid and pics. As others have said, these are the best I've seen yet.I actually think this one is a bit bigger than the one in my Jeep, but that's definitely what it is. Probably just because I have a different type of handle on my JKU.
Also, if you watch the video, you can actually see the subwoofer in the wall of the cargo area when I put the camera up to the glass. It just looks like a mesh box.
That's what I upgraded from as well. I am blown away by how nice the camera is! Once I got the pictures onto my laptop I stared at this one so long I decided to make it my new background.Joining the chorus of "Well done, mate!" That iPhone 12 is magical. I just cracked open the box on mine this evening. Upgrading from an 8. New Bronco and new iPhone. I must have been a good boy this year.
I honestly couldn't tell while I was there. It didn't look like it had anything on it to me, but the roof was so dark and I couldn't get a good look at it because of the glare that it may have been there. You can see me struggle to get a look at it a bit in the video and it wasn't any better with the naked eye.Does anyone else think we're seeing the first images of the sound deadening headliner in these 2 photos? The inner roof surface looks completely black and "soft" - much different than the light gray color I've been seeing to this point.
Has anyone else seen photos with the sound deadening headliner?
It’s actually not terribly big. The rear swing gate isnt that thick to begin with, which can make the latch section look big in comparison. That seems crazy big for a locking mechanism. Not going to argue with ya, you are the Jeep owner who has that same thing.

Thank you for the awesome detailed video and pics. very good shots of front clearance. We experience of my ranger I would do a educated guess that 37" tires will be not a big problem. thanks againI drove down to Allen Park this morning to check out what was left out this weekend. I drove the entire lot and the only Bronco left out was the Cyber Orange Badlands. I was not disappointed! Cyber Orange is so much better than I could have possibly hoped for. It is a bit yellow, but I don't care. It reminds me of a construction yellow/orange and not a school bus. Unless I am thoroughly impressed with Cactus Gray, this will be my color. I have a couple pictures with a piece of paper in them so you all can adjust the photos accordingly.
A lot of the pictures will be similar to what we've already seen, but I did a full walk around (sorry about the fingers in the video) and a couple comparisons to the F-150 I was driving and grabbed a few shots of the crash bars. Overall the entire Bronco is about the same size as the F-150's cab. Not bad, but still pretty big. For anyone making the switch from a two door Wrangler, this thing will seem HUGE.
I also took a few measurements of various things and tried to get some decent interior shots. The video and all photos were taken on an iPhone 12 Pro, and some of the interior shots were taken using the wide angle lens so there may be distortion.
Lastly, thanks @SamG for posting the address in another thread and thanks @LadyBronco for letting me know they leave things out on the weekend! I probably wouldn't have been able to get up close to a Bronco until delivery without you guys.
Enjoy!
EDIT: I forgot to add that the full length of the hardtop is about 83 inches. Couldn't get a picture of the measurement because I was by myself.
That all makes good sense. Thanks for the pic too. I've seen that door open numerous times in videos and never once gave thought to the protrusion. Not a deal breaker by any means, and you're correct, not so bad. I guess i'm thinking back to my '01 Expedition, and how it didn't have this. It also had a very thick liftgate to accommodate the mechanism. It’s actually not terribly big. The rear swing gate isnt that thick to begin with, which can make the latch section look big in comparison.
It has to be as deep as it is to accommodate the latch and as wide to accommodate the locking mechanism. The vent is the access to repair or replace it.
On the body side, the latch has to be in a place where it can be affixed to more structure, and not out near the vehicle skin.
The subwoofer, if equipped, is located in the side panel of the rear cargo area.
