Recently got the wifey a Heritage LE and she loves it but not thrilled with the support of the driver’s seat.

Has anyone had an upholstery shop add some additional lateral support? Any help is appreciated! HWHL

Seat jakers from desertdoesit.com were super helpful for a comfortable ride in my rig.

Thanks a ton for the reply. That looks like a cool product but she is looking for additional lateral mid back support (think luxurious racing seat but able to have all of the existing power controls, airbags etc)

The seat jackers just work with the existing seat. You will need an entirely new seat for all that.

Search the forum i remember seeing a post with aftermarket seats options that fit your bill, about a week ago, or so.

Awesome. Previously, I tried searching and didn’t find anything but just found this. (Posting here for future reference for others if needed)

https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/aftermarket-drivers-seat.84953/
I started that thread for the same reason. Planted makes the bracket then you have all sorts of great aftermarket seat options. What has stopped me from doing it is the airbag system. It uses a sensor in the factory seat. I’m not willing to risk not have the airbags work when needed nor do I want the airbag fault light on all the time. If you can figure that piece of the puzzle out then please let me know.

What I did do that helped a lot is put 4 3/8” washers under the front to seat bolts. That tilted the seat bottom back and it does help you feel more planted in the seat. Not the same way as appropriate bolsters would but it definitely helps.

Why Ford didn’t provide correct lateral support is beyond me. It is one of the few things about the Bronco that drives me crazy.

I appreciate the reply and potential solution.
The vehicle has power seats so would the washers or seat jackers be any different than adjusting the existing seat bottom position via the motorized controls?
