Ended up selling the Bronco after 1 year and got a 2022 Tundra TRD Pro.

I had 3 different orders at 3 different dealerships, and after what felt like a million years of waiting, none of them were pulled for build. A friend of mine works at a Ford dealership about an hour from me and let me know they had a customer abandon their order, and asked if I wanted it since it was very close to the build I had. Drove over there to pick it up without even hesitating.

Here it is! My 2021 Area 51 Badlands. It has the Sasquatch, Lux, and Tow packages on it.

I drove it 50 miles home and have been loving it so far. I took the day off on Monday to take it off roading at an off road park near me, and scheduled a couple other off road trips too. Super pumped to finally have a Bronco, even if it isn't exactly what I ordered.

Congratulations. Nice to have friends that work at the other dealership (presuming they didn't hit you with ADM) looking out for your interests. Your shirt - did you get it through Blipshift? It looks like one of AJ's designs. I buy all Blipshift Bronco shirts that are 2-dr or EB so I likely overlooked it. Still a cool shirt and you have the +5HP going for you.

Great color! Nice rig! You should plug the dealer in the DFW area that came through for you.

Sorry, MOBRONCO has been taken 🤣
DANG IT. My s2000 has a custom plate that says “MOS2K” so I thought the bronco would be similar

Careful, dont tow anything until break-in is complete!!!! Any other wheeler will understand this limitation!

Break in period isn’t really needed anymore. It’s a relic from 20 years ago

I’m an engineer at Toyota, the only reason we keep break in periods in the manual is for liability, not because the engine requires it

Do NOT for a moment think that Ford engineers or produces to Toyoto's tolerances. I always follow a break-in and am convinced, how you treat an engine the first 2 to 4000 is how it will treat you in return! I am fine if you think that is old fashioned, heck, I am 62!

I’ve rebuilt Ford engines in the past, the tolerances aren’t that much different between most vehicle manufacturers.

There’s little to no difference in wear patterns in an engine regardless of break in styles, and at 50k and 100k miles, the difference is negligible across several types of engines and models.

Either way, break in period is a topic for a different thread and I want to keep this one about my Bronco.

Here’s a photo of the beauty rings painted black
