$2,500 for the Warn Winch seems insane given the cost of a 10,000lb name brand winch on the market today (anywhere from 300-600 from what I see).

Do yall think front mounting a winch will be as easy as it is on the wrangler? Me and my dumb high school buddies added a winch to my 98' jeep in like 2 hours..

Then again when looking at the design of the bronco bumper, it doesn't exactly look winch friendly.

In regards to the winch itself I 100% agree - do you see my point about the mounting location though?
It seems like the winch option includes some weird custom platform that it sits on

If you buy the winch and included mount from Ford it looks to be an easy install, albeit a pricey one.

If you plan on buying an aftermarket winch you will have to wait for an aftermarket mount to be offered as well. The Bronco front bumper is recessed when compared to a Wrangler bumper making it a bit more difficult for accessory mounting.

Spoke to the guys at Warn - any inclusion of the collision warning/lane departure warning system will mean their aftermarket bumpers will not be able to be utilized.

This is the debate I still have on my BL on whether the mid package is worth giving up the option for a wench. This here may push me away from getting mid.

Maybe because they want you to buy a Warn winch through Ford. I'm sure someone will come up with a relocation kit.

$2,500.00 is for the Winch, mounting hardware/plate with the brush guard, wiring and install. For me it is a good deal. HOWEVER: we MUST know what we are getting? When you see the "button" to add this to your build, you see the above photo (crappy cheap mount, tall brush guard, covers "BRONCO" and the camera)(I am hoping this is the old design and an old photo...but it's on B&P! When B&P adds it to your build, the building photo, it displays the newer nicer Mount that we have all seen, has the Horse stamped on the side and a much lower brush guard. (I will import a photo of that one). So...WHICH ONE DO WE GET??? Can ANYONE, a Dealer, or a FORD Rep answer that question? Ordering is less than a month away and we must know. I will not pay any amt. of $ for that first photo-mount.

I have talked to Warn twice already.. Either they don't know or they are really good at keeping secrets...

Had nothing to do with the winch - why wouldn't they want me buying their bumper?

Well that warn winch isnt a $300-600 either. Sure you can buy a harbor freight one for that. $2500 for the warn winch, mount, wiring, install & warranty would be a good deal if it was synthetic, especially since it appears they're skirting the fine line of GVWR (synthetic only saves 16lbs or so but it all adds up). My concern is that decent aftermarket ones will take a while to hit the market and will have trouble incorporating the various driving safety components. But right off the bat, Id be dumping another $250-300 in synthetic winch line and other components.
