...Why is that a sadly (or a surprise) that a car got better fuel economy than a truck? I'd be really shocked if the Mustang was to get worse fuel economy (even the GT350/500) than a Ranger on the highway. Both are just cruising along, but the mustang has a massive aero advantage both in cross-section area as well as Cd. In the city, where aerodynamics are less of a concern, I wouldn't be surprised either way if one out preformed the other. The Mustang is toting around less weight, but is also designed for more performance.I an getting 15.4 around town stop sign to stop sign and I have a 4X2 in my first couple hundred miles and I only boosted it twice. Hope the highway does better.
Sadly I actually got better gas mileage with my 2018 mustang GT that I traded for the Ranger. Go figure when from Philly to Atlantic City on cruise at 72mph and got...29 mpg.
