I an getting 15.4 around town stop sign to stop sign and I have a 4X2 in my first couple hundred miles and I only boosted it twice. Hope the highway does better.

Sadly I actually got better gas mileage with my 2018 mustang GT that I traded for the Ranger. Go figure when from Philly to Atlantic City on cruise at 72mph and got...29 mpg.
...Why is that a sadly (or a surprise) that a car got better fuel economy than a truck? I'd be really shocked if the Mustang was to get worse fuel economy (even the GT350/500) than a Ranger on the highway. Both are just cruising along, but the mustang has a massive aero advantage both in cross-section area as well as Cd. In the city, where aerodynamics are less of a concern, I wouldn't be surprised either way if one out preformed the other. The Mustang is toting around less weight, but is also designed for more performance.

I have a Ranger 4x4 Crewcab XLT on order and I went with the Ranger based upon the published MPG's 20 city, 24 highway, 22 combined. Thinking I'm at least going to get 20 at the worst. I have owned F150's continuously since 2003. My current F150 4x4 5.4L V8 gets 15 - 17 mpg, so the Ranger is just a tad bit better with a 4 cylinder! FORD misrepresenting the mpg's in unacceptable. What else is misrepresented? I'm a heartbeat away from canceling my order.

I'm getting pretty much what was advertised. No vehicle is going to get the advertised mileage if you drive it hard or use it in conditions that are harder on the driveline or cause drag. Cold weather also lowers your mileage as well (it is still winter in many places folks)

You get 15-17 in your V8 driving like Ms. Daisy, in the Ranger, you'll easily get 20-22 while still being able to pass a prius.

I have over 4k miles on my 2019 ecoboost Ranger, which I suspect is more than 90% of US Ranger owners.

I even did a weekend trip from Seattle to Los Angeles and back. I actually had periods were I got over 26MPG, but the overall trip had a MPG of 22.5, which isn't bad.

There is no 2.7L option in the Ranger. It is 2.3L only.
Yes. That's why I was disappointed one wasn't used.....Hahaha. My post was a little confusing. I am disappointed there is no 2.7 in the Ranger, and although I have never driven the Ranger (2.3l), I think the 2.7 would have achieved better mpg results in the real world had Ford used it as the engine.

First 100 miles and I'm at 18.1 with a good mix of driving.

I can say that my F-150 got better after I got into the low thousands, maybe like 3k-5k miles. Some was probably the engine breaking in, some was probably my foot breaking in.....

Only had mine a few days. I plan to set in the truck tomorrow with my manual and find all of the bells ands whistles (Lariat bliss, lane keep etc FX4 nav) by chance do you know which is the default setting, eco or boost?

A lot of people don't understand that there is Eco and Boost, but you have to pick one. Drive it like you stole it, and the mileage tanks.

I would start by checking the sarcasm meter.

Think that is discussed on page 18.
