The sticker always has the vehicle's current price at the time it is built. It won't reflect any discounts or price protection owed to you.

See attached, trying to make this make sense to me before I pass on this. Rebate is included, is there any other form of protection I should be getting? The sticker always has the vehicle's current price at the time it is built. It won't reflect any discounts or price protection owed to you.
You really should read the link posted above by RagnarKon. You are entitled to more than what they are telling you. It seems they are only giving you the MY 23 private offer. You should get price protection for all the price hikes since you ordered. Again, read the link posted.Yeah so I’m not a smart guy and need it explained like I’m 5. Really, the dealer should sell it to me for the price in the DORA AND take the $2500 off for the price protection ($63.5K - $2.5K)? They’re saying the new MSRP ($67.5K) is what the PP applies to to make me whole for the DORA price ($63K), which doesn’t make sense lol
Thank you for your response. I'm really not smart and feel like I'm getting lost in the acronyms and timelines lolYou really should read the link posted above by RagnarKon. The difference between the current $67.8k and the $63.4k is covered by Ford with money back to the dealer which is supposed to go to you. Your certificate or rebate as you call it is comes off the $63.4k number. If they do not do it this way, they will pocket the extra $4,400 because 100% Ford gives them this money to cover increases in MY'23. The rebate as you call it is from Ford to cover from the initial order up until the MY'23 reorder. So you get both, not one or the other. The MSRP on the DORA from 7 months ago was 63.4K. The MSRP on the sticker is 67.8K. And they want the MSRP price. Excluding all fees and taxes, that is a 4.4K increase in price. Minus the price protection, that’s a 2K increase.

There are actual Ford documents on here that state about the mid year increases. Look them up and take to the dealer with you to show that you know what games they are playing.Thank you for your response!
They only way they could pocket it is if they trick you into signing an assignment document that would allow them to take possession of the check. The check will come to them but will have the name of the person who ordered the vehicle on it. They can't take those funds without some form of fraud unless you gave them permission.they will pocket the extra $4,400 because 100% Ford gives them this money to cover increases in MY'23.
Retail Price Protection = Price difference between your DORA, and the Sticker. So if the price goes up between when you order and are built (within the same model year) you pay the price agreed to when you ordered. This is a Ford Policy for ANY Ford Product (Ford or Lincoln)Yeah so I’m not a smart guy and need it explained like I’m 5.
There is no check so to speak that has the purchasers name on it from Ford. It is a refund on the invoice price direct to the dealer. They then they cut the purchaser a check unless you got the money up front as did I and most others. They only way they could pocket it is if they trick you into signing an assignment document that would allow them to take possession of the check. Who is the dealer? Chapman? They didn't honor dora with me either. My base price was actually higher than the window sticker.Long conversation short, dealer says the price is the sticker and the $2395 is the only price protection I get and they won’t honor the DORA MSRP(sticker MSRP is the new price and I’m getting the $2395 as a MY23 price hike coverage). Hopefully someone can understand how confusing all of this is and I just want to pay what’s fair after waiting 2 years for this vehicle.
It's not confusing at all. You ordered a vehicle. You got a print-out of the price. Ford will invoice the dealer based on the price when you ordered. Price is locked in based on when you ordered like most any other product.Hopefully someone can understand how confusing all of this is and I just want to pay what’s fair after waiting 2 years for this vehicle.
Is there anywhere in writing that I can reference? Dealers comments were quite different.Ford has guaranteed customer order prices against mid year price increases for half a century
