Not aimed at you specifically, but, it's so funny to me when people mention auto and their wives in the same sentence almost every time, because in my case I would have to present a pretty strong case to convince my wife NOT to get the manual XD
LOL, same thing over here! Manual trans and anything (like even beyond car stuff...tools, appliances etc) German made gets me a free pass to purchase.

She's proud of her German heritage ( her dad was born there, immigrated during his college years) and the fact that he taught her to drive in a manual! LOL

Since my wife can drive manual (and actually likes it), I am SUPER hopefully that we get a manual option. We almost purchased a Wrangler Unlimited with a manual, but the price was too steep, the vehicle was loud, I don't trust FCA's build quality and the transmission shifted a little funny. Anyway, confirmation of a manual option is all I need to hear at this point.

I would like an option for everything manual (including roll up windows). No power means less to go wrong. And they can keep their touch screen. I at least hope the guages are analog....

You can't build a turbo motor to produce predictable low end or torque values as high, the 2.3 torque curve is vertical from 2500 to 3000, try to control that on a slippery surface.
I actually prefer manual on slippery surfaces-it's a solid state drive all the time and you can tell exactly when the wheels slip

Absolutely. And you can control your gear changes when going up an icy hill, instead of having an automatic kicking down a gear and triggering a loss of traction.

The people putting down manuals are the people who have never driven manuals, especially in wintery or slippery conditions.

Their left calf is also weak.

The equation is simple for me. Manual = buy, Auto only = pass.

The Bronco will be a 3rd vehicle for my wife and I and the only way I will put more of my money to vehicles is for a manual transmission. I love driving with a manual and only drive when required with an automatic.

Same here. Wife has a TSX with a 6 speed, and my Explorer/Crawler is a 5 speed. The only auto we have is my GX460 and thats because its the only choice in that vehicle.

Same here. I will not buy it if only auto. I have a comfy auto daily driver. This is a recreational vehicle and manual is just more fun and engaging to drive. The longer the delay the more I lose interest. Peoples priorities changing now. Excitement fading. Ford needs to reignite the flame quickly before people come to their senses lol.

Part of me agrees with that, but also, no matter what, the production time line will not change to our benefit. ... it won't get built any sooner.
Yeah, I'd like some more pics, a "build your own" app or something, but it will only go so far.
Best case scenario, we still have nearly 9 months to a year left.

We may lose interest a little between now and then. ... but I'll bet we get a little more erect the first time we see one on the lot!

I'd be satisfied with a builder for now

thats what I dont get either. The initial plan was for the vehicle to hit dealers Dec/Jan 20/21. then Jan/feb 21. Now it COULD be Feb/mar. I fail to see how a 2 month delay is a deal breaker for people.
