It is fucking LIT.

It’s pretty funny, my JK is geared 3.21 manual and 1st gear fucking sucks it’s so tall(with 33” tires). But I love 6th gear, it’s super tall and I get almost 21 MPG highway. If this 7 speed lets the Bronco keep that awesome highway low RPM while also letting you get started without burning up your clutch that would be sick af. Plus regearing sucks

No v8, optional 7 speed manual trans 1st gear is creeper, up to 37" tires, warthog addition for the climber's also sits on wider frame. Ranger will have a face lift for 2021 to set with the bronco look... in my opinion Looks like they trying to fit something for everyone the soccer mom's, The Rock crawler's and the daily driver cruiser... Can't wait I'm in line to match with my 1996 Sport Bronco
As always we had this info first, thanks to this guy^^. Now I hope this "optional" means standard/included with the option to get the auto for added cost,

Optional in this case is referring to the OEM specifications. I'd be very surprised if Ford offered more than one configuration of the MTI550 in the Bronco.

I think this tranny being built for increased torque etc is good for towing too. The tow numbers on the gladiator go to shit with the manual, hopefully the bronco avoids that.

Is this a dual clutch transmission like the GT500 Tremec, or will it have a clutch pedal?

Well, it’s a manual, so it’s certainly not a dual clutch automatic

IIRC this is just an evolution of the current MT82 so it should operate the traditional way with a third pedal.

It looks like the goal was to introduce some modularity so they could use it in a few different models.

Wouldn't bother me if they made some of the shifts via button ala Roadranger.
They should make the manual box the standard tranny and the auto the option like they do on the Mustang.
