I’ve been putting off doing one of these for one reason or another. But I’m nearing the end of modifications for now. So picked up Jan 26 of ‘22. Stock but a good start with the lockable rear drawer, console safe, mesh Bimini cover and tailgate table. It was a mannequin.
found a set of badlands wheels and tires for a great price! Added all the factory skid plates since I got a deal on a take off set. Even added the badlands only plate near the sway bar.
the decided I needed more ambient lighting. So I added lights under the seats and In the cupholders all factory controlled.
then I wanted better sound so I installed infinity speakers in the 4” pod locations a kicker 200.4 key amp and a slim powered sub.
then needed some lights since I don’t have six switches I bought the ford front/rear fog light switch and hooked up ditch lights and eventually a light bar. When I installed a winch.
when RC came out with their mod bumper winch mount I ordered the same day and got it all setup!
Then since my wife’s bronco was taller than mine and it had to go in for warranty work anyway I had them throw on a RC 3 1/2” lift! And installed the keyless entry pad
Well shoot that led to my badlands wheels and tires looking kinda tiny
so along came Some Motegi trail lite rims and nitro terra grappler G2 37x12.50x17’s to fill them wheel wells in a bit!!
then with the added weight I decided to grab a hammer built tailgate reinforcement.
i did add the accessory mount for the rotopax but it’s waiting until I get the rotopax stuff to install that.
sticker Fab took care of me with grill letter overlays, side marker overlays, tailights overlays, rear ford emblem overlays, dash inlays, seat belt retainers for the rear belts, bar tact paracord handles. Mabett rear seat protectors and armrest protector(forgot pics)
Then added down tie rod supports this week to hopefully not break a tie rod while off road! We will put them to the test this weekend in the U.P. Of Michigan.
Future plans?
Minimum remove the shutters from the intercooler I want as much airflow as possible. When (mishimoto? Gets their intercooler kit around I’d like to get that as I’ve already damaged my OEM taking some whoops too fast oem steel bash plate bowed. So it would be nice to get the intercooler higher out of danger.
will eventually (when enough people wreck sas equipped models) uograde the front diff and axles to the m210 locker.
may do the aux switch retro fit. I also moved the winch control pac under the hood. Oh and the iag rear lift kit for the soft top and RC hood struts (I dislike prop rods very much )
Now that I’ve written a novel I thinks that’s most of what I’ve done to get this beast where I need it to be for my adventures.
