I know there are a lot of reviews out there but I hear Wildtraks are kinda rare so I’ll review mine.
First off let me say I LOVE THIS BRONCO! I feel very lucky and fortunate to have one (especially this build). When I originally reserved the Bronco, I knew I wanted the Wildtrak model since it’s labeled as the desert runner and I live in AZ. Just like everyone else, I wanted my Bronco ASAP and hated to hear about all the constraints and delays but that didn’t stop me once from changing my order details. And come to find out, I was the first Bronco delivery at the dealership!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: The Race Red really pops! It makes the Bronco very hard to miss. The stance on this rig is perfect! I haven’t done any kind of lift or level kit and don’t plan on doing one soon. One thing I wanted installed right away were the rock rails, just for the extra protection, so I had those ordered and put on before I took delivery. The interior was my only hesitant being the Wildtrak only comes in one option and I’m not a big fan of “tan” interior but after seeing it in person, it’s not as tan as I thought it was going to be so I’m happy! Same with the dash color, not as tan as I thought it was going to be.

DRIVING IMPRESSIONS: Coming from an F150, I knew to expect more road noise and rough ride experience but in all honesty it’s not a rough ride at all! Very smooth, easy handling, I’m shocked! The road noise is ok, the hard top seems to give me a lot of wind noise but my daily commute is mainly highway driving. Oh and this Bronco turns on a dime, also very impressed with that!
Also, SPORT mode and BAJA mode are not the same thing! Sport mode give the Bronco a noticeable power boost but Baja mode really utilizes the high end of the RPMs… I almost thought I had to shift manually in Baja mode but it just climbs the RPMs pretty high before shifting automatically.

TECHNOLOGY IMPRESSIONS: I did opt for the Lux Pkg mainly for the B&O Audio System. I saw a lot of negative thoughts about it which really lowered my expectations but after hearing it myself, I think it’s great! Wife thinks so too. In normal city driving, I don’t crank it past volume 10. On highway driving I keep it between 12-15 volume. The wireless charger could be better, it doesn’t really “charge”, it just keeps my phone from losing battery (if that makes sense). The 360 camera system is also very nice and goes great with the 12” display! Love seeing all the different camera angles and the ability to see the 2 front tires in certain drive modes

THE MIC HARD TOP & CONS: I know everyone wants to know about the hard top… it’s ok. It does have that “tapping” sound from both driver side and passenger side but more noticeable on the passenger side. The sound deadening headliner seems like a thin layer of carpet material and is already lifting in a couple areas. Can’t complain too much since Ford has already emailed me saying it will get replaced in the near future. Hopefully MIC 2.0 will be better. The only con I have about this vehicle is the lack of storage in the cab area. The cargo space is plenty good for what I need so that kinda makes up for it. But I do wish there were more compartments in the cab for storage.

If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask and I’ll answer as soon as I can. I’ll attach some photos of my build along with the MPG I’m getting after 1000 miles.

Sweet! I'm AZ also. Looks like I got my Wildtrak about 10 days before you. I have a White 2 door an I concur with everything you posted. I don't have any issues with my top though no weird creaking sounds or no leaks. Tons of fun. I'm hoping to hit Crown King this weekend!!

Has anybody bought & installed these yet? I pulled them out of the box today and I’m not impressed. They are stick on, the instructions were not clear, and it seemed like the fit between the trim piece near the rear wheel was going to be weird. I should have taken a picture but I already boxed them back up to send back. Just curious if anybody else had thoughts on them
OP posted that those were not the Rocks Rails he installed. He ordered through dealer parts department and got them installed.

I’ve actually heard people just using black weather stripping from the hardware store.

Omg, my build, which I keep going back and forth on, but 4 door and mod bumper. Looks so good. My only issue is there are too many white cars in my city. 😍

This is from ford accessories page, where is it optional on the build? It shows non optional on Ford’s site.

I found this:

Don't go 100% off of B&P - as we know, it's not always accurate.

The order guide is the go-to.

I know I could've ordered them if I wanted to when I placed my Wildtrak order - I went with the steps, though.

Looks Great and great review. Im in Las Vegas, similar heat, we had ordered the wildtrack but switched 2weeks ago to the badlands and then got notified of my production date. We were able to get all of the same options plus one or 2 others including the black leather/vinyl. Got petty much everything available, sasquatch, lux, one of the important things for us was color, my wifes turn to pic and she really wanted Rapid Red, the day we switched our order was the same day they made the color change so when we got notified the next day she was happy again. Expecting mid to end of October. My question for you is, how is the back seat air conditioning? Our kids are grown but if we go out with friends we want them to be comfortable. Currently have a Jeep and it dosnt have rear ac and it gets a little warm. Worst case we would take my dually because it has rear ac.... Thanks for listening and your opinion.

Congrats on getting a build week! You’ll be very happy with how the AC blows in this thing. Very cold and the air reaches the back just fine! My oldest has even told me they’re getting cold in the back

Thanks for the feedback, getting ready to pick up the plates from the DMV and "BUKDOFF" is going to look strange on a Jeep for a month or 2 LOL

It works out fine. My 4 year old sits behind me in the booster, and she has enough room to NOT kick the back of my seats.. big plus!

Thank you, I've always wondered the same thing.. maybe mine didn't leak? Maybe my honeycomb patter didn't show as much as others? I really wish I knew the answer to this age old question lol
One more question: how do you like the cloth interior of the Wildtrak as far as the overall quality and feel? Thanks again!

The cloth seats are very durable. I’ve had cloth seats before with Ford F-150 and they’ve always held up pretty good. And definitely comfortable

I searched and don’t see any pics of the dashboard. Mind sharing some? It’s VERY tan in the B&P!

Thank you for sharing! We have the exact same build except I went with the High package. It’s amazing you received yours in August. September is when Ford notified me that the Bronco had been built but there was an issue with the hardtop and I didn’t get my Bronco until October 15th.

And you are right about that Race Red, it stands out and is a beautiful color. I’m at 470 miles now. Anything you noticed during the break in? Are you using regular or premium gas and have you found any good side steps/rock sliders that will fit the Wildtrak?

Also, any recommendations on how to keep this color popping?

I’ve been using premium gas since day 1, just to get the full use of the 2.7 😁
I had the rock sliders put on by the dealership when it came in, the rock sliders from ford accessories is what I ordered.

These are some of the products I use to keep the red shining. I use the soap with a foam cannon and after I dry off the vehicle, I hit all the painted areas with the spray wax

Awesome pics and great review. I've got nearly the same build but in Cactus Gray w/leather seats. Production scheduled for week of 11/29. Hoping to get before Xmas, but not holding my breath. Seeing folks get their Broncos and enjoying them is tiding me over though. Thanks for sharing!
