So, my reservation for the Bronco is a late one and I will not be able to receive delivery from Albert at Granger until 2022, which means I should perhaps have a better choice in colors for the top and the interior among other things Ford is likely to add/fix.

In the meantime I have been busy at work (Covid is spiking again) and configuring and ordering a 2021 911 and should receive delivery in March or April of next year.

The B&P for a Porsche is rather extensive and you can literally make your car quite unique in many ways. My build is built around the 992 Carrera S with an Aerokit.

The hardest decision for me was deciding between the CS and the Turbo S. Finally decided on the CS due to its better appearance with the Aerokit and a much better exhaust sound. The Turbo S is definitely a beast with 0-60 in 2.6 but the CS being lighter and with uncanny acceleration has been repeatedly clocked at 2.9-3.0 seconds....plenty fast for me!

Besides I can use the difference towards a nicely configured Badlands! ;)

Color me jealous. That is a beautiful machine. I've been getting frustrated with the non-stop bad news regarding the Bronco and told my kids I was going to forget it and get a 911, albeit an older one that costs roughly the same as the Badlands I'm looking at. Both kids told me not to do it. But what do they know? Although having both in the garage would be a dream. Congrats!

Beautiful car! I have spent many a night with a glass (or two) of scotch building cars from probably all manufacturers that are out there. You’re right, the Porsche configurator lets you customize so many aspects of the car you can truly make it yours and feel like one of a kind.

Alas, I don’t think I will ever be a Porsche owner but it’s tremendous fun building them online!

My older brother has a 2002 - 911 that has less than 50K miles. He named her Gretchen and has had her for years. I'm his only heir but I have to out live him. hahaha

Both are icons and much loved by car enthusiasts. You are right, having both works because they are so different and specialize in their own segments.

That's a sweet Porsche B&P! I have an AMG C63S and may be getting rid of it to support my Bronco addiction. However, the longer things drag out and the more stupidity with Ford's B&P, I could easily change my mind.

Ford should have just hired Porsche to build the Bronco B&P. So many options and details on all of Porsche models and their B&P works flawlessly with pictures changing the minute details.

is being rich cool? It seems cool.
In off topic chat lounge I wrote about my first car, an ancient Toyota Corolla of my student days that I had named “it”.
You might enjoy reading that;)

For the price of their cars, Porsche should have a good B&P. I bet Rolls Royce has an even better one.

Actually Porsche has the most extensive and enjoyable configuration setup of any car I have used including Ferrari.
