Everyone else sees and understands it is being upset that Ford, with a lot less than full volume production and subsequently (should they have chosen to exercise it) much more time for QC per unit, failed to notice such a glaring error in a safety related issue in his vehicle that might have cost him or a loved one their life before shipping it out.

On the plus side, your interpretation allowed you to fire off a snarky comment that make the other kids snicker at the expense of someone else. That is really the important thing anyway, right? Perhaps you truly think people are upset that Ford is fixing a problem instead of being miffed that they didn't take enough care to prevent it?
Yes, at this point of B6g, I absolutely expect knee-jerk anger, frustration and calling out Ford at even the hint of anything which jeopardizes their vehicle being in their driveway yesterday.

This has been so clear and consistent that it's not really a question.

I won't go into GM shirking it's ignition failure for over a decade, then shifting liability off itself through a farce of bankruptcy.

Or how many people died to Takata airbags that went decades without correction.

Soooooo, yea, I'd be happy to have a safety related delay on my Bronco and feel it's fair game to have an opinion which isn't shared by the angry mob on here. I mean, this isn't a cult, right? We're allowed to have differing opinions?

The company that screwed up this time has a long track record of screwups that affect most car manufactures. Not Ford's fault this time.
This is not 100% true. Ford, and every other OEM, has Supplier Quality Engineers who ensure their suppliers follow strict quality control procedures. These SQEs should be in the supplier plants constantly during a ramp up to ensure everything is built correctly and quality control processes are being followed. The Ford engineers are also the ones who would have told the suppliers how to produce these components and how to pack them. So the OEM still carries some of the blame for failures by their suppliers.

Yep. Airbag recall is going to stop delivery on almost all the DM Bronco's.. Sorry, guys. The good news (not for you) is that new builds are shipping pretty quick right now.

The OTHER good news is that the airbag situation is much easier to fix, so I dont think you will have much delay.

If it was the controller module, RIP.. but I have yet to see any constraints on airbags.
Bad news is it may be awhile before the dealers get the replacement bags.

I am sure glad that I bought a truck and bailed on the Bronco. Sorry for those of you dealing with this. Good luck!

Yeah, maybe. I asked my dealer and they said it was going to be quick to get the parts.

I also know that Ford service has issues getting very simple parts - took almost a month just to replace an interior door panel on a Ranger. Only one in the country and it ended up not matching the 3 door panels.

I really hope this works out for everyone. I almost feel guilty for having my MIC 2.0 Bronco on the way. Almost.

I did not want to wade through six pages of this discussion and this may have already been posted, but Ford, nor any other vehicle manufacturer, is allowed to sell a new vehicle which has an open recall. I do not remember the amount of the fine for doing so, but it is a large amount, something like 10 or 20 thousand dollars.

My 7/21 blend is expecting MIC 2.0 this month, and in regards to the recall - Notice how the announcement says "some" may be affected between the date range, which obviously isn't all Broncos. With that, I continue to check Ford Pass and Ford.com, only to find I have zero recalls.

Looks like only a certain amount are affected, correct?

So you're saying this should be a simple and quick, repair then. I'm wondering if Ford will access the repair while MIC 2.0 is being swapped, which would avoid repair at the dealer?

I believe my Bronco was built 7/20 so I was concerned about the air bag. My dealer was able to check my VIN and determined mine was not affected. Still in Dirt Mountain purgatory though.

I feel bad for all you orderers. It seems this as a first year launch this hasn’t been great. Though with COVID-19 I can see some reasonable explanation. It does seem that once people get it they love the vehicle! So there is that. Though, as someone that has only been waiting since 2016 and a lot of you much longer i can see how annoyed you would be be. Hopefully the people that get them keep posting how awesome they are.
